When we think of minerals, we often picture rocks or science labs, but minerals actually play a huge role in our everyday lives. Think about the objects and activities that are part of your daily routine. Answer ALL three prompts listed below, then respond to TWO of your fellow classmates' responses. Have a discussion about minerals that impact us day-to-day.
Be sure to support your answers with examples, and feel free to make connections to your own experiences.
What is an instructional objective?
In short, an instructional objective is the GOAL of your lesson/lesson plan. Instructional objectives are SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, and OBSERVABLE student behaviors towards desirable skills, attitudes, or knowledge.
Look at this chart from your textbook (figure 3.6). Notice where the instructional objective is on the chart. Notice that these objectives are "found in:" "Teacher Daily Lesson Plans." That's you! These objectives are part of a bigger, wider learning plan created by the school, district, and state.
There are different ingredients to create a well-written objective. First, you need to know the state standards for the grade level you teach. The standards answer the question, what does the state say your students should know by the end of that school year? You will also need to have an action plan. For this, you will need to review the video in this module about Bloom's Taxonomy. Last, you will need to create a condition/activity. This is where you have creative freedom to use a best practice of teaching (review "condition statements" on page 96 in your textbook).
YOUR OBJECTIVE SHOULD ONLY BE ONE SENTENCE!
Before writing a specific, clear, and measurable objective, it is important to understand how to look up and use the state standards. For this assignment, you will complete the following:
1. Watch the following storybook reading of Miss Nelson is Missing by Harry AllardLinks to an external site.. You will use this book as the reading content to write your objectives.
2. Look up standards for 1 reading skill, 1 math skill, and 1 other subject of your choice on the CPALMS websiteLinks to an external site.. *Make sure to choose Grade 2
3. Watch the videoLinks to an external site. provided in this module about Bloom's Taxonomy. This video will help you understand the verbs needed for writing a measurable objective.
4. Use EasyGeneratorLinks to an external site. to create 3 instructional objectives using the information from the standard. YOU MUST USE THIS WEBSITE TO WRITE YOUR OBJECTIVE.
Below is an example of what you need to submit (you will do this 3 times 1 reading/ELA, 1 Math, and 1 other subject of your choice):
Grade: 2
Subject Area: Reading/ELA
Standard (found on CPALMS): ELA.2.R.1.1 Links to an external site.Identify plot structure and describe main story elements in a literary text.
Your Activity/Condition: (think of an activity/condition that would help students learn this standard): EX. using a sequencing graphic organizer.
Objective (put it together in one sentence using the EasyGenerator website provided above): The student will identify the plot structure in the story Miss Nelson is Missing by completing a sequencing graphic organizer.
Verb used: IDENTIFY
Level of Blooms: UNDERSTAND (make sure to watch the Blooms video to complete this part)
Module 4
Literature Review and Evidence Matrix Assignment
This Literature Review will be with the same exact topic of the PICO assignment I just requested before.
Please keep it with the same topic of Child Obesity
It is for a Masters FNP writing assignment
Healthy People 2030 aims to reduce the proportion of children and adolescents with obesity (objective NWS-04) by encouraging healthy eating and physical activity. The initiative supports strategies such as promoting diets rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, increasing physical activity, limiting screen time, and creating environments in homes, schools, and communities that support healthy habits. Progress on this goal is tracked as a Leading Health Indicator.
Goals and Objectives
· NWS-04: Reduce the proportion of children and adolescents with obesity .
·
· PA-09: Increase the proportion of children who do enough aerobic physical activity .
·
· PA-13: Increase the proportion of children aged 2 to 5 years who get no more than 1 hour of screen time a day .
·
· NWS-06, NWS-07, NWS-08, NWS-09: Increase consumption of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains .
·
· NWS-10: Reduce consumption of added sugars .
Key Strategies and Interventions
· Promote Healthy Eating:
Encourage diets that are rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and other nutrient-dense foods while limiting processed foods high in added sugars and unhealthy fats.
·
· Increase Physical Activity:
Support interventions that help children get the recommended amount of aerobic exercise and play.
·
· Limit Screen Time:
Promote guidelines for reducing screen time, especially for young children.
·
· Create Supportive Environments:
Advocate for changes in policies and practices in communities, schools, and early care settings to make healthy food and physical activity more accessible and convenient for families.
·
· Address Early Life Factors:
Focus on protective factors for early weight gain, such as breastfeeding, a healthy diet pattern, and regular physical activity from a young age.
Why It Matters
Childhood obesity is a major public health concern, linked to serious long-term health problems, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. It also increases the risk of bullying and can lead to obesity in adulthood.
So for this assignment, most effective strategies to decrease pediatric obesity in primary care settings.
This is certainly an area/challenge that FNPs are constantly faced with in primary care and particularly with some specific cultures or ethnic groups.
Literature Review & Evidence Matrix Assignment
For this assignment, you will prepare a 3 to a 4-page review of the literature pertinent to a selected problem for healthcare research and to use that review to propose a methodology to address the problem.
A. Conduct a search of literature relevant to the problem/topic. Identify a minimum of 4 references, most of which are peer-reviewed articles. Only one opinion articles may be included.
B. Read the peer-reviewed articles with the focus of preparing a document that will compare and contrast the information in the articles you found. Copies of the articles used must be submitted with the final paper.
C. The reader of your literature review should be able to clearly identify the gaps in the knowledge in the problem area as well as the purpose of the study you are proposing. The number of pages in this assignment should be no longer than 4 pages. You should be able to write enough to create an effective argument but not so much that the result looks padded.
D. Prepare an Evidence Matrix using the template located in Module 2: Lecture Materials & Resources .
Submission Instructions:
· The introduction is original work and logically organized.
· The paper is 3-4 pages in length and follows current APA format including citation of references.
· Incorporate a minimum of 4 current (published within the last five years) scholarly journal articles or primary legal sources (statutes, court opinions) within your work.
· Journal articles and books should be referenced according to the current APA style (the library has a copy of the APA Manual).
· Your submission will be reviewed for plagiarism through Turnitin.
Read and watch the lecture resources & materials below early in the week to help you respond to the discussion questions and to complete your assignment(s).
(Note: The citations below are provided for your research convenience. You should always cross reference the current APA guide for correct styling of citations and references in your academic work.)

General Instructions:
Conflict is common in healthcare settings. Common team sources of conflict include hierarchical relationships, authority differentials, poor communication, negative or disruptive behaviors, and multigenerational interprofessional teams.
Include the following sections:
The lack of diversity in psychology research can cause many problems. Some can be seen in culturally biased aspects of the DSM-5 to research that should only be applied to small population subsets rather than general statements about all individuals. Since much of psychology research aims to make general statements that apply to all individuals and cultures, it is essential to consider diversity when conducting psychological research, including the participants used and research processes.
Complete the Diversity Research Article Critique in which you will critique a research article from a cultural approach. You must use the article that you selected in your Week 1 assignment. Include a full citation for the chosen article. In the worksheet, consider the following aspects of your selected research article:
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:
Which types of studies or research designs do you think are more valuable in advancing cross-cultural research? What are the advantages and disadvantages of studies involving two or three countries as compared to studies involving 10 or more countries?
Write a reflection on the following uploaded material. In the reflection include a summary of the key points and answer these questions What are the key takeaways from this week's materials?
