This assignment allows students to evaluate their areas for growth toward cultural competency and then to create individualized goals and actions to increase competency. Additionally, as part of the plan, students will complete one media summary and one cultural immersion experience.

This assignment is broken down into two main parts: Rough Draft (Due Unit 3), and Final PDP (Due Unit 6). After completing the Rough Draft, participating in a cultural immersion experience, and interacting with media related to your chosen topic, you will have a chance to reflect upon your learning over the course of the class. You will begin by completing another self- assessment. Then, you will have an opportunity to reflect upon the goals you outlined in your Initial Plan.
