Program evaluation is important in the work that we do as Mental Health Counselors. We need to know if the program that we are running is producing client/agency/community etc. outcomes as expected. Discuss how a needs assessment can be utilized in program assessment and provide examples of when a needs assessment could be conducted at an agency or private practice. When and how would you utilize a formative assessment to inform your decision making and advocacy efforts? When and how would you utilize a summative assessment to inform your decision-making and advocacy efforts?
