Instructions: 

1. Do a comprehensive database search to identify a published journal article that explains value-based care. Include a PDF copy of this article with your assignment. Do not cut/paste the contents of the article.  
2. Describe quality value-based care as discussed in the article. 
3. Discuss how the article/author describes the development and evaluation of value-based care approaches that meet the current and future needs of patient care delivery. 
4. Include the discussion of at least three approaches that meet the current and future needs of patient care delivery.  
5. In the conclusion section, summarize your key takeaways from the article.

This assignment requires literature review to identify evidence that explains the concept of value-based care. Using a literature review, find a journal article that discusses value-based care. The article must be different than what is presented in this course.

Develop a narrated PowerPoint presentation that highlights the principles of business, finance, economics, and health policy and how they contribute to the improvement of quality of care.  

Instructions: 

1. Provide a broad introduction slide on the topic.  
2. Describe each of the principles (business, finance, economics, and health policy.
   • Describe how each of the principles contribute to the improvement of quality of care.  
3. Describe how the principles collectively contribute to the improvement of quality of care.
   • Be clear on how the principles are important for the development of effective plans for quality-of-care improvement. 
4. Use the information provided in the course as a starting point, however you should be looking for other literature and outside sources to support your presentation.
   • At least two (2) additional sources should be used outside of the posted course materials.   
5. This presentation should be approximately 10 minutes with no more than 10 slides. This approach encourages you to be concise while discussing these important topics.
   • The general guideline is one minute per slide.
   • Avoid overcrowding each slide with too much information.
   • Use 5-8 bullet points with main ideas, and then include supporting ideas in the speaker notes area for each slide.   
6. The presentation should include speaker notes and demonstrate PowerPoint best practices, including the application of APA formatting. Include a title and reference slide which are not included in the total number of slides.
