work as an educator. Begin your paper by providing a general overview of their developmental theory. Then, demonstrate your understanding of these concepts by applying each stage of the theory you have chosen to an individual learner of your choosing. This can be a student, a family member, or just someone that you know. Please provide basic demographic information about the learner in your discussion. Be sure to use real-life examples to illustrate your understanding and application of the theory to the learner. • Topic 6- Social Learning Theory (Chapter 5): In Bandura’s classic experiment (1965), a group of young children was exposed to a film of adults who punched, kicked, and yelled at an inflated “Bodo” doll. Later, in playing with the doll, these children displayed twice as many aggressive responses as did children who had not seen the aggressive behavior. What does Bandura’s work suggest about the effects of violence in television shows and movies on children? What principles of social learning theory support your view? Conclude your paper with a discussion of ways in which understanding social learning theory can inform intentional teaching. Please support your work with a minimum of three (3) relevant scholarly sources.

For low-income students, however, the decrease is greater than that for middle-class children. What conditions may contribute to this difference? Discuss at least two (2) possible ways that the “summer loss gap” can be bridged for low-income students. Please support your work with a minimum of three (3) relevant scholarly sources.

• Topic 9- Learned Helplessness (Chapter 10): Assume that the students in your class have adopted the behavior pattern of learned helplessness to avoid failure. First, discuss the concept of learned helplessness and contributing factors that create this state of demotivation. Then, design a three-point program that you, as the teacher, would implement to change that pattern of behavior and motivate your students to learn. Please support your work with a minimum of three (3) relevant scholarly sources.

• Topic 10- Inclusion (Chapter 12): There are different ways in which inclusion may be addressed within the classroom setting. Please discuss inclusive education in more detail. Also, address the following questions within your paper: What are some similarities and

Cognitive Theories

Cognitive Theories

Write a 5–7 page paper applying cognitive theories of motivation to behaviors from the scenario and to your own learning. This paper will be in two parts. Part 1 will continue the scenario from the class, whereas Part 2 will allow you to reflect on what you’ve learned.

In  Part 1 of the paper, include the following. Be sure to use your textbook and journal articles to provide examples and support along the way.

· Relate the theory to specific  current behavior.

· Include a description of the problem.

· Explain what motivates the current behavior based on one of the cognitive theories.

· Propose a solution based on a cognitive theory of motivation

· Explain how the solution will motivate better behavior based on one of the cognitive theories.

· Relate the theory to specific  anticipated behavior.

· Explain what will motivate the expected behavior based on one of the cognitive theories.

· Explain the thought process that led to your proposed solution.

· Explain how you avoided (or did you?) making any attribution errors.

· Explain the limitations of using motivation theories to explain people’s behaviors in the scenario’s circumstances.

In  Part 2 of the paper, include the following.

· Propose a new plan to increase your performance in college.

· Describe your motivation for completing the coursework in your college program using the terms, concepts, and theories you’ve learned so far.

· Summarize the plan you made in Assessment 2.

· Assess whether you followed the plan and how it worked.

· Share what you will do to enhance motivation and performance for the rest of the course.

· Use examples from peer-reviewed, scholarly sources within your response.

Scenario

You and your group walked for six hours through Atlanta, Georgia, and have still not reached an area with electrical power. Everyone is tired, hungry, and thirsty. As the sun goes down, you begin to think about where to stay for the night and where to find food.

“Why don’t we start knocking on doors and asking for help?” Javier suggests.

“I don’t know if that’s safe,” Zoe responds. “You remember how intensely some people at the hotel acted.”

“It never hurts to ask,” Ibrim says. “But maybe we should offer something in return.

After another day on the road, you and your group still haven’t found somewhere with power. Unfortunately, you didn’t pack food or water, so you’ve been depending on the kindness of strangers. As you walk through a neighborhood of nice-looking houses, you think it might be time to ask for food or water. After all, these look like the houses of people who have money.

As you approach the first house, a dog starts growling at you from its place on the porch. As you put your hand on the front gate, the dog stands and walks slowly toward you. The four of you look at each other and back away. You need to try another house.

You and your group must beg for basic supplies and still have a long way to go.

Step 1: Choose one of the following:

1. Getting a stranger to let your group stay in their home overnight.

2. Getting medical supplies to treat a deep cut on Ibrim’s leg.

3. Motivating Javier to stay with your group and not head back to the hotel.

4. Motivating Zoe to share the food she begged off a house two stops ago.

Your group includes:

· Javier is a 36-year-old Hispanic man who lives in Florida. He was traveling to Atlanta for work—he’s a manager for a car dealership. He has a wife and three children waiting for him at home.

· Ibrim is a 43-year-old Black man from Tennessee. He had traveled to Atlanta for the Capella University graduation even though none of his family could join him. He’s worried he might have lost his job as office manager for a local doctor. His wife often travels for her job, and they are used to being apart.

· Zoe, a 24-year-old White woman from Alabama who had traveled to Atlanta for a romantic weekend with her boyfriend. Since the power outage, her boyfriend has started a relationship with another guest, leaving Zoe alone.

· You.

capain tweet

Create a campaign "tweet" (think back to when Twitter was a thing) of no more that 280 characters endorsing one of the mayor's from the 1920s to 1956 (see Spinney, Chapters 9 and 10). Consider Thompson (Chapter 9), Cermak, Kelly, and Kennelly (Chapter 10).

Then in at least 100 words, explain your choice of mayor in terms of what that mayor accomplished for the city.

In your responses to fellow students (at least two), defend your candidate as compared to the one they chose.

    white week 6

Using  the same Case Study Worksheet from week 4 (Case Study #1), perform the  same analysis on a case involving some social media or online privacy  situation. Keep in mind the topic must involve some moral or ethical  conundrum.

Some  examples would be using AI to generate posts or content and taking  credit, any number of AI systems listening to you and using the  information to generate search criteria, trolling, stalking, spreading  misinformation, etc. One example would be the arrest of Douglass Mackey  (aka Ricky Vaughn) for interfering in the 2016 election (look it up if  you are interested). If you are uncertain what you have will work, ask  the instructor. Just do not wait until Saturday or later to do so.

This  case study will be evaluated using the attached grading table. Please  use this to your advantage to check your work before submitting. Be sure  to apply at least one ethical system in depth, including the  application of at least 3 specific aspects of that system to the  analysis of all parts of the worksheet/case study.

Use the following format to write a paper to discuss your case study. Each section should be at least one fully developed paragraph.

    Name:

Case Study Title: Include a full APA or MLA citation in your reference section with URL link.

    1. Briefly what happened? Summarize the case.

    2. Key Stakeholders and how they were negatively impacted: Discuss at least 4 major stakeholders (not stockholders, though the stockholders may be stakeholders). For each stakeholder, briefly explain the relationship with the company – why they are stakeholders and how were they impacted? You may use bullet points to summarize each stakeholder.

    3. What was the final outcome? Include specific details such as prison, fines, termination, and for how many individuals. Make sure to cite your facts.

    4. Describe why you feel someone’s actions were morally wrong? Using ethical systems discuss why these behaviors were morally right or wrong. Be sure to use keywords describing your moral base (consequentialist, care, duty, act utilitarian, prima facie duties, etc.) and why your compass would justify classifying the action as morally right or wrong. Be sure to document the resource(s) you use for the definition of the moral theory or theories.

    5. Put yourself in a position of leadership: Describe what you would put in place that would have prevented this in the first place or keep it from happening again. Or, alternatively what rules would you would implement to justify the action. Discuss rules in the context of your leadership philosophy or ethical standard.

References: At least one reference is required in APA/MLA format. Intext citations should be used to show your research . Note that if your major requires a different style, use it. Just be consistent.
