Stragety for all students

Researching theories of child and early adolescent development and then developing instruction using evidence-based best practices is crucial for the success of the students and the teacher. As an educator, your goal will be to consider the students’ cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and physical development along with other contextual factors when planning for instruction. For this assignment, imagine you are the teacher described in each scenario and complete the "ELM-201 Strategies for All Students" template. The specific requirements for each scenario are listed below. For each student, write a 150-200 word response that includes:

  • A learning theory that applies specifically to each student’s unique cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and physical developmental needs. State the learning theory and why it is appropriate for the student based on their developmental level, prior experiences, interests, or culture. Refer to the Topic 1 Flashcards as the supported theory must be selected from the provided theories. Support your choice of learning theory with research.
  • One evidence-based instructional strategy you would recommend to assist and engage the student, taking into account the student’s individual strengths, interests, differences, and needs. Consider cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and/or physical development and abilities, as well as contextual factors (e.g., culture, socioeconomic status) when developing the strategies. Support your choice of strategy with research.
  • Your plan for differentiating instruction or providing accommodations to support the student’s specific needs. Remember, an accommodation is a support to help the student work on the current content successfully.
  • One technology tool to effectively engage the learner and meet the student’s specific learning needs. Support your choice of technology with research.

After responding to the scenarios, reflect in 200-250 words why it is important to plan evidence-based instructional strategies, differentiation, accommodations, and technology that support the cognitive, linguistic, social-emotional, and physical needs of children and young adolescents. Describe how planning with these needs in mind supports the role of language and culture in learning and readiness for learning across performance areas. Support your deliverable with 2-3 scholarly resources. While APA Style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion. You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite. A link to the LopesWrite Technical Support Articles is located in Class Resources if you need assistance. Have you ever seen a team that works seamlessly together? It could have been a work team, school team, volunteer team, or even a sports team. When teams work well together, it seems that everything falls into place and runs smoothly. Everyone knows exactly what to do and when. This is called a high-performing team, and they do not happen overnight. Team members work hard and go through stages before becoming a high-performing team.

Maybe, you have been on a team or seen a team that cannot seem to have anything go right—a sports team that cannot get the ball through the hoop or soccer ball into the goal, a work team disagreeing on every detail, or a volunteer team not wanting to listen to anyone. It will happen at some point. You will see teams that work well together and teams that do not work at all together. Companies want to create high-performance teams because they work well together and increase productivity for the company.

Watch this video: Building High-Performance Teams.

Think of a time when you were on a team or saw a team perform (this can be from work, school, volunteer work, or sports) and discuss the following with your peers: 300 words

  • Was the team you were a part of, or the one that you watched at work, a high-performing team? Why or why not?
  • What are some ideas that can help a low-performing team become a high-performing team?

Week 6 discussion in MHA 605 Business Intelligence?

Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum,

The impact of emerging technologies in the field of business intelligence is shaping the decision-making processes of the healthcare delivery system. Potentially, big data in the healthcare delivery system could provide administrators with the needed insight to determine what customers/patients want and expect from their healthcare providers. From a clinical perspective, big data could provide the necessary information to determine what positive healthcare interventions are needed for marginalized and underserved demographics. In other words, big data can tell you how and what information is needed to set policies and processes that will encourage specific populations to seek needed health care.

In this week’s discussion address the following prompts in a minimum of 500 words:

    • Describe two technologies used in the healthcare delivery system. Examples: analytics, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cognitive computing.
    • Define cloud computing and explain how cloud computing affects Business Intelligence.
    • Summarize how geospatial and location-based analytics could be implemented to assist healthcare organizations.
    • Explain three legal and privacy issues regarding analytics within the healthcare delivery system.

Presentation Assignment: Exploring Both Sides of a Debate

            Objective:
Use a PowerPoint presentation to explore and evaluate both sides of a debatable topic.

            Instructions:
Choose a topic that has two clear sides or opposing viewpoints. This could range from serious topics like the death penalty to lighter debates such as whether dogs should be allowed on beaches during the summer. As long as there are valid arguments on both sides, the topic can be used.

Create a PowerPoint presentation with 7 to 10 slides that includes the following:

            • Title Slide with the name of your presentation and your information

            • Introduction Slide that introduces your topic and gives a brief overview

            • Slides presenting each side of the argument clearly and fairly

            • Slides listing the pros and cons of each side

            • Visuals such as images, charts, or graphics that enhance the presentation

            • In-text citations where appropriate

            • Final slide with a References list in current APA format

You may also include voiceovers or speaker notes if you wish to enhance your presentation. Be sure the content is clear, engaging, and informative.

            Tips:

            • Use bullet points and visuals to keep slides clean and easy to follow

            • Aim for balance in presenting both sides

            • Have fun while being respectful of differing opinions
