Training departments are often under the heading of HR and as such must be compliant with an organization’s goals. You are asked to develop onboarding training for your current organization/institution. What information and from what sources is necessary to ensure that the onboarding process accurately and fairly represents the organization/institution?

Part 2

  • Who are the key stakeholders and/or decision makers within the organization?
  • How do their roles inform training decisions and goals?
  • Understanding the goals, what strategy or strategies do you need to employ to ensure success in your training department?

Part 3

Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you:

1. Provide an overview of the organization, including its mission, vision, and strategic goals. (1-2 pages)

2. Explain the reasons or need for the training program within the organization and explain its purpose: Why is the training needed? (1-2 pages).

3. Respond to these key questions as outlined in your text:

    • How can you garner support of sponsorship from senior management so that learning and development is regarded as key to driving the business strategy?

“Legal Considerations and the Need to Addres Culture and Diversity”

Understanding the differences between legal considerations (ADA, OSHA, Civil Rights, etc.) and the need to address culture and diversity in the workplace is key to creating a productive and peaceful environment. It is also true that on occasion, the needs or priorities of one department often mean a potential for a negative impact on how training is delivered.

You have been asked to write a proposal for a new training initiative that balances legal, moral, ethical, and cost considerations. What are your priorities for training and how do they both support and balance the organization’s needs?

The first step in the training process is to conduct a training needs analysis (TNA). The TNA consists of three (3) phases: Organizational Analysis, Operational Analysis, and Person Analysis.

When conducting the TNA for your organization, consider the following questions:

  • What areas or steps of the analysis process would you expand for the organization?
  • Are there any areas or steps of the analysis process that you would remove?
  • What data needs to be collected in order to conduct the analysis?

Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:
