As we’ve learned, Microsoft pushes
out updates for OSs that it supports. Windows Server Update Services
(WSUS) is a tool used to control when and what Windows updates are sent
to client computers (running Windows 10/8.1).
- What is one important reason you can think of for wanting to control updates?
- What advice would you give a colleague who thought that updates should be installed the moment they’re released from Microsoft?
- Can you think of a reason you might want to “roll back” to a time before the update occurred?
Flesh out your thoughts and interact with your classmates. Post your
initial response by Wednesday each week and then return on a couple of
other days to see what’s going on with the discussions. The more you
interact, the more you learn from your peers, and the more you share
with them about what you know. You’ll also be showing your instructor
what you’ve picked up.
